RESIST THE REWRITE

IT'S MUCH MORE THAN JUST STEEL AND SIGNS

Our place names and monuments are under attack. These are more than just markers—they reflect the legacy of Australia's Anglo-Celtic foundations and the symbols of who we are as Australians. Erasing them severs the crimson thread of kinship and disrespects the pioneers who built this country. Through the Name Back campaign, we can protect our shared heritage for future generations.

UNDEMOCRATIC
NAME CHANGES

Across Australia, place names with deep historical significance are being 'cancelled' without full consultation or community consent. These changes sever our connection to British heritage and rewrite our history.

Captain Cook Statue Toppled in Melbourne

ANGLOPHOBIC
VANDALISM

Statues and monuments honouring our Anglo-Celtic pioneers are under attack. These acts of hatred are often racially charged against the pioneers who built our nation and their descendants today.

6

KEY REASONS TO PROTECT OUR NAMES & MONUMENTS

Icons-01.png

1. Preserve History

Place names and statues are records of the past, telling the stories of those who shaped our nation. Erasing them risks losing these stories forever.

4. Cultural Erasure

Changing names and vandalising statues are deliberate attempts to rewrite history and diminish the contributions of Anglo-Celtic Australians.

2. Our Ancestors

Our pioneers, warriors, and leaders deserve respect and recognition for their contributions. Protecting their monuments is an act of gratitude and remembrance.

5. Group Rights

Discussions about place names and monuments should be had by communities, with proud Anglo-Celtic representatives present. Not imposed by bureaucrats or ideologues.

3. National Identity

Names and monuments are symbols of who we are as Australians. They remind us of our shared heritage and the values that unite us.

6. Connect Generations

Place names and monuments are bonds between the past, present, and future. They help us teach our children about where we’ve come from and who we are.

TWO AREAS OF CONCERN

BOTH CONTRIBUTE TO THE ERASURE OF OUR HERITAGE

The names of these extraordinary individuals—our pioneers, leaders, and builders—are increasingly under attack. From Captain Cook to John Batman, and even Queen Victoria, their names are being erased from landmarks, streets, and institutions across Australia. This is not just a rewriting of history—it’s an assault on our Anglo-Celtic foundations.

Black Armband History

BLACK ARMBAND
HISTORY

A narrative that focuses solely on the inflated negatives of Australia’s colonial history, ignoring the achievements and progress brought by Anglo-Celtic pioneers and their descendants. This distorted version of history fuels a campaign of erasure, replacing pride in our heritage with shame and division.

Asymmetric Multiculturalism

ASYMMETRIC
MULTICULTURALISM

This imbalance fosters the establishment of an ethnic hierarchy, with White Australians relegated to the bottom as a stateless people. Their identity marginalised and their concerns silenced. This deliberate sidelining undermines social cohesion and devalues founding Australians.
