The Name Back campaign, run by the British Australian Community (BAC) and supported by sponsorship from The English-Speaking Union (Victoria Branch), is a movement dedicated to protecting Australia’s Anglo-Celtic heritage from the growing trend of historical erasure, wokeness and cancellation. We stand against the undemocratic renaming of towns, cities, and landmarks, as well as the relentless vandalism and destruction of statues and monuments that honour our pioneers and highlight our national identity.

Our campaign asserts that place names and monuments are more than symbols—they are vital connections to our shared history, reminding us of the achievements, struggles, and contributions of those who overwhelmingly built this nation. The erasure of these historical markers is an attack on our cultural identity and a deliberate attempt to rewrite history without proper public consultation or consent.

Through petitions, advocacy efforts, and grassroots action, Name Back empowers Australians to take a stand, ensuring our heritage is preserved for future generations. We fight to protect our landmarks, honour our past, and push back against the forces seeking to diminish our national story.
